Somerset Strimmer Scheme
The Somerset Strimmer Scheme, in partnership with local councils, provides training and loans equipment to cut back vegetation along public Rights of Way, ensuring they are open and clear for users throughout the year!
Vegetation clearance is one of the largest costs to the Rights of Way Team. By taking on some of this planned clearance and responding to clearance requests from the local council and Area Wardens, more paths can be cleared and more of the paths kept clear, open, and easy to use.
