Home Library Service Local Area Lead Volunteer (Chard Library)
The home library service area lead volunteer liaise with their local library, home library service volunteers and the home library service manager to arrange for the delivery of books to Home Library Service customers.
This is a great opportunity to help develop a range of skills and you could be:
- Ensuring referral forms are returned to the Home Library Service Manager for each new client and assign new Home Library Service customers to a volunteer
- Keep up to date records of active customers and keep the Manager of the Home Library Service up to date
- To arrange cover for volunteers if they cannot deliver their books due to sickness or holiday
- To act as first contact for volunteers’ queries and concerns and to flag these with the Home Library Service manager
- To support the Home Library Service Manager with meeting prospective new volunteers coming into the service
- To support the Home Library Service Manager in the recruitment of volunteers and customers with their specific local knowledge of their community
