Digital Library Volunteer (Minehead)

Opportunity image

If you have great IT skills and would be confident in helping others improve their own IT skills, you could support your local library as a digital volunteer. You will need the ability to explain technology in a clear and simple way. You will support small groups or individuals, sharing your skills and knowledge which will help build digital literacy in your local community.

You can choose where and how often you provide volunteer support, but you will need to provide a minimum of two hours per week.

You will be provided with a full induction to the library and it's resources.

You will also get the opportunity to come and explore our new Glass Box digital making space at Taunton Library.

Volunteers Say

I feel I'm doing the right thing.

Computing has given me a great deal, and it feels good to help those on the other side of the digital divide.

Volunteering has helped me improve my confidence while being able to help my community.
