Ham Hill Visitor Centre Volunteer (Ham Hill)

Opportunity image

Ham Hill is a stunning wildlife haven centred around an Iron Age hillfort, it is a nationally important Historic Monument and one of the largest Iron Age hillforts in the UK. The grant funded ‘Uncovering Ham Hill’s past for its future’ project will include heritage conservation, biodiversity enhancement, community engagement and a new visitor centre. We need volunteers to give visitors to the new centre the best experience possible.

Volunteers will be the first point of contact at the visitor centre, helping them to explore what it can offer and answer questions about Ham Hill. Volunteers will also help in the shop and exhibition space, handling sales and event bookings. This is a great opportunity to learn about the history, wildlife & management of Ham Hill, and share your enthusiasm for it.

Volunteers can choose which 2 hour slots they volunteer for and can choose as many as they want! Volunteers should be able to commit to a minimum of four hours a month.

All training and resources are provided.
